About Lakewood High School
For more than 75 years, Lakewood High School (LHS) has been a cornerstone of our community with a rich history of award-winning programs. With dedication and hard work from the administration, students, staff and community, LHS has been selected as one of the top-ranked high schools in Colorado by Newsweek and as one of the best schools in Colorado by 5280 magazine.
About The Lakewood High School Foundation
Founded in 2003, The Lakewood High School Foundation is comprised of parents, community leaders, alumni and staff, working together to raise funds designed to assist students through financial support for school improvements, theater lighting, textbooks, classroom supplies, furniture for the library and shared spaces and more.
As a result of the growing budgetary difficulties throughout the system, funding support from the Foundation has become even more critical in recent years. From the technological support and educational tools required in the school’s world-class International Baccalaureate Program to the Adaptive Physical Education program, the LHS Foundation is an increasingly important financial tool in the LHS system.
The LHS Foundation continues to evolve and grow and, as a result, has been able to provide additional financial support and services to a diverse number of academic and enrichment programs at the school, including student scholarships, library furniture, upgrades to the gym sound system, upgrades to the auditorium and more.
